As of Sept 21, 09, ( the beginning of this semester) the Financial English Week has its Chinese edition, two weeks after its English counterpart posted, for better acquaint students with contemporary financial community.
從民國98年9月21日起(本學期開始)財金英文專刊將有中文翻譯(在其同期英文版出刊後兩週登出)，讓同學瞭解現今金融概況。
Tips for Translation (Also Interpretation)
翻譯(口譯)小撇步
Language is part of cultures, it can not be translated (or interpreted) word-on-word. The target language should be fully understood before using the vocabulary, phrases and the terms of you own language to “explain” it as clear and concise as possible.
語言為文化之一部份，不能逐字翻譯，先把被譯語充分瞭解後，再以自己語言的字、詞彙、專有名詞，儘量”解釋”清楚。
I recommend reading the Taiwan-based English newspapers as learning materials. Since bilingual is the advantage we have, it is crucial to familiar with the vocabulary, phrases and specially the terms for both languages.
我建議以在台灣發行的英文報紙為教材，因為雙語是我們的優勢，熟識該兩種語文之文字、字彙，特別是專有名詞是很重要的。
